About Sarah Royse

Sarah Royse - a New York City actress

Sarah Royse is an actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer based in New York City. A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Sarah earned a BM in Musical Theatre from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2021. 

During her time at UCO, she performed the roles of Ursula in Sweet Charity (under the direction of Brian Marcum of MT Wichita and Broadway’s Eloise Kropp), Marty in Grease, Natalie in Theory of Relativity, Our Lady of the Spa in Nine. She was also a Tribe Member (U/S Sheila) in Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre’s 60th-anniversary production of Hair. In addition to her featured roles, Sarah served as co-choreographer in Theory of Relativity and dance captain in Nine

Sarah got an early taste of on-camera work in 2006 when she appeared as a featured schoolgirl in an Oklahoma Lottery television commercial. Most recently, she worked as a background actor in Season 2 of HBO’s Reservation Dogs. Additionally, Sarah can be seen in Summer Repertory Theatre’s virtual 2021 season. 

Sarah is a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) and teaches classes regularly. She has also worked as a professional choreographer for Edmond Public Schools and Norman Public Schools in Oklahoma. 

Above all else, Sarah is a storyteller and collaborator that believes in the power of movement, creativity, empathy, and love!
